Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

1.Definitions

• "Service" — the PetraX CV platform that converts the information you submit into a hosted CV web page.
• "Account" — the personal account you create to access the Service.
• "Content" — any file, photo, text, or information you upload or enter, and the CV page generated from it.
• "Plan" — a paid one-year subscription (Silver, Gold, or Platinum).
• "Promo code" — a single-use discount code issued by PetraX.

2.The service

PetraX takes a CV document and a photo that you upload, uses automated and AI tools to format and design them, and publishes the result as a web page hosted by PetraX under a link such as cv.petrax-sa.com/cv/your-name. PetraX is a design and technology service only — we do not provide career, recruitment, legal, immigration, financial, or employment advice, and we are not a recruiter or employer.

3.Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority where you live) and able to enter into a binding contract. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide about yourself is accurate.

4.Your account & security

• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your Account.
• Passwords are stored only in encrypted (hashed) form — we can never see or recover them. If you forget your password, you can request a reset link by email from the sign-in screen.
• Notify us immediately at info@petrax-sa.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your Account.

5.Plan term, hosting & renewal (1 year)

• Every Plan is a one (1) year subscription that begins on the date your CV is published. Plans are not lifetime.
• When the year ends, your public CV page is automatically taken offline unless you renew. While it is offline, visitors see a short "subscription expired" notice, and you can still preview it privately from your profile.
• To bring an expired CV back online, you renew by purchasing the Plan again. We may remind you before expiry, but renewal is your responsibility.
• Prices are shown in Saudi Riyal (SAR) and may change for future purchases or renewals.

6.Promotional codes & discounts

• Promo codes are single-use — each code may be redeemed only once and becomes invalid afterwards.
• Codes are non-transferable, have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be combined with another code on the same purchase.
• A code applies a stated percentage discount (including up to 100%) to a Plan price at checkout. A 100% code provides a one-year Plan at no charge, subject to these Terms.
• We may suspend, void, or refuse any code that we reasonably believe has been obtained, shared, or used fraudulently or in breach of these Terms, and we may withdraw or change a promotion at any time.

7.Your content & licence to us

• You retain ownership of the Content you submit. You grant PetraX a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, format, and publicly display that Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (for example, to build, host, and display your CV page).
• You confirm that all Content is true, accurate, lawful, and your own, that you have the right to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
• The automated/AI process may reformat, summarise, or rephrase your Content. You are responsible for reviewing the final result before sharing it, and you can edit it any time from your profile.

8.No verification of content

PetraX does not verify, fact-check, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or lawfulness of any Content. We are not responsible if information you supply is wrong, misleading, or outdated, or if it causes you to miss or lose any opportunity, job, interview, or benefit.

9.Acceptable use

You agree not to use PetraX to publish or transmit Content that is false, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, infringing, that impersonates another person, or that is otherwise unlawful under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You also agree not to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service. We may edit, suspend, or permanently remove any CV or Account that breaches these Terms, at our sole discretion and without refund.

10.Payments & refunds

• Payments are processed entirely by our third-party payment provider (Moyasar), which may support methods such as mada, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and similar. Your payment is subject to that provider's own terms and privacy practices. PetraX does not receive, see, or store your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials.
• Payment-method brand names and logos shown on the Service belong to their respective owners and are displayed only to indicate accepted methods; this does not imply any endorsement or partnership.
• The Service is a digital product delivered immediately. Once your CV has been generated, the order is considered fulfilled and fees are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
• You are responsible for any taxes, levies, currency-conversion or bank charges that apply to your purchase unless stated otherwise. We are not responsible for declined payments, processor errors, or delays caused by the payment provider or your bank.

11.Intellectual property

The PetraX platform, software, designs, templates, layouts, fonts, and the PetraX name and logo are owned by PetraX and protected by law. Your Plan gives you a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own CV. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the platform or templates to you.

12.Availability & changes to the service

We aim to keep the Service available but may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, perform maintenance, or change features at any time. We are not liable for any temporary unavailability.

13."As is" — no warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that a CV will lead to any particular outcome, interview, or job.

14.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetraX, its owner, and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, lost opportunities, lost income, lost data, or reputational harm arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or from any Content you provided. Our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims is limited to the amount you actually paid for the specific Plan giving rise to the claim (and is nil where a 100% promo code was used).

15.Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold PetraX harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or cost (including reasonable legal fees) made by any third party arising from Content you submitted, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Service.

16.Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your Account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your Account or remove a CV if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your CV page may be taken offline; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) will continue to apply.

17.Privacy Policy

• What we collect: your name, email address, phone number, the CV file and photo you upload, the information extracted from them, your chosen settings, payment status (not card numbers), and basic technical data needed to run and secure the Service.
• How we use it: only to create, host, display, and let you edit your CV web page; to process payments and promo codes; to send account and password-reset emails; and to provide support and keep the Service secure.
• Public by design: a published CV page is public — anyone with the link can view it. Do not include information you are not comfortable making public.
• Service providers we use: we share the minimum data needed with trusted providers that help us operate, including Moyasar (payments), Brevo (transactional email such as password resets), OpenRouter / AI providers (to format your CV text), and our cloud hosting provider. These providers may process data outside Saudi Arabia. We do not sell your personal data.
• Retention & deletion: we keep your data for your subscription term and a reasonable period afterwards for our records. You may request deletion of your Account and CV at any time by emailing us; we will remove it within a reasonable period, subject to records we must keep by law.
• Your rights: you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting info@petrax-sa.com.
• Security: we use reasonable technical measures (including password hashing and encrypted connections), but no online service can be guaranteed 100% secure.

18.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version shown at the time you use the Service applies, and material changes take effect when posted here. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

19.Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

20.General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of our business. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and PetraX regarding the Service. We are not liable for failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

21.AI-generated content & accuracy

Parts of the Service use automated processing and artificial intelligence ("AI") to read your uploaded CV, extract information, and draft, rephrase, summarise, translate, or reformat text — including summaries, experience descriptions, skills, achievements, cover letters, and similar material ("AI Output"). AI Output is produced automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, generic, or may misread, omit, invent, or rephrase the information in your file. AI Output is not advice and is not a statement of fact by PetraX. You are solely responsible for reviewing, correcting, and approving all AI Output before you publish, download, or share it, and for ensuring that everything on your CV is truthful, accurate, and not misleading. You can edit every section at any time from your profile. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PetraX is not liable for any AI Output, for any reliance on it, or for any consequence of publishing or submitting it. AI features depend on third-party providers and an available AI/usage balance, and may be limited, rate-limited, temporarily unavailable, or changed at any time; free-trial accounts may receive only a limited number of AI builds.

22.ATS compatibility & job outcomes

We design the downloadable CV/résumé to be "ATS-friendly" — a clean, single-column, text-based layout intended to be readable by common Applicant Tracking Systems ("ATS"). "ATS" refers to a broad category of third-party recruiting software (such as Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Taleo, and many others) that PetraX does not own, control, or test against. Accordingly, PetraX does not warrant or guarantee that any particular ATS, employer, recruiter, job board, or portal will parse, accept, display, score, or process your CV correctly or at all; that any specific layout, font, or formatting will be preserved; or that using the Service will result in any interview, response, shortlisting, offer, employment, or other outcome. All hiring and screening decisions are made entirely by third parties using criteria outside our control.

23.Downloads, exports & rebuilding your CV

• Where your Plan allows, you may download or print a PDF/résumé version of your CV and, where offered, share machine-readable versions of it. Some downloads or exports are a paid feature and unlock only after your CV is published.
• Downloaded files are generated from the information in your Account at the time of download. You are responsible for reviewing them before use and for how, where, and with whom you submit or share them. Once a file leaves the Service, PetraX has no control over and is not responsible for its further copying, distribution, or use by you or any third party.
• You may re-upload a new CV file to rebuild your CV. Rebuilding re-runs the automated/AI processing on the new file and replaces your previously generated content; your link, photo, and published status are retained where possible. Rebuilds and AI re-generations may count against any applicable usage or free-trial limits.
